DESCRIPTION:Presents: \n2024 SCCV Winter Series Event  \nWintercross #3 \nAirborne Park Speedway\, Plattsburgh NY \nSaturday December 28th\, 2024 \n8:00AM-5PM \nEntry fees: $40 members / $50 non-members (includes one day SCCV membership for event day) \nOnsite registration will also be available if needed. Sign up for a 2024 calender year membership for only $20 here: 2024 SCCV Membership \nThis SCCV Wintercross is a frozen surface time trial event held on the main racetrack of Airborne Park Speedway. Course format will utilize parts of the 1/2 mile oval\, infield roads and cart loops on a plowed track. Please see event picture for track layout. There will be no fallback location if the track conditions are not solid. Event is tentative based on event day conditions on track\, and is subject to cancellation based on track manager’s decision. If 12/15 event is cancelled\, refunds/credits will be issued and SCCV has scheduled a backup date of 12/29 for this event. SCCV organizers will do thier best to keep everyone updated as best as possible. \nPits/Paddock will be the area inside the main gates\, and will vary based on snow conditions. If you plan to trailer a vehicle\, please send us and email if possible so we can gauge/adjust plowing needs to accommodate. \nThere is no public bathroom located onsite\, however porta potties will be available \n\n\n\n\n\nEvent requirements\n\nFor a full breakdown of what to expect at these events including schedule and basic info\, please view the Wintercross Guide here: Wintercross Guide \nFor rules & classing information\, please view the Rules & Classing link here: Wintercross Rules & Classing \nThis event is open to all licensed drivers over the age of 18\, as well as minors 16 or older who have a valid drivers license and meet the minor consent requirements found in the Wintercross Rules & Classing \nHelmets are required for this event. (Snell M2010 or SA2010 minimum\, No DOT only). The club has a handful of loaner helmets from Zamp Racing available in a variety of sizes to be used by new participants if needed. \nWant to purchase a helmet? Visit Zamp Racing’s website here: Zamp Racing \nAll vehicles will be required to pass a technical inspection prior to running the event. Tech inspection requirements can be found in the Wintercross Rules & Classing \nConvertibles are required to have sufficient rollover protection at this event. Hard tops/multipoint braced hoops of sufficient thickness that pass a broomstick test above driver’s head. For specific questions on your vehicle setup\, please reach out to an admin of SCCV \nPlease be aware that regular auto insurance policies do not cover damage to your vehicle while participating in motorsports events. Drivers are responsible for removing damaged vehicles from the track/course\, and for repairing any damage to said vehicle. Drivers have the option to purchase off-track/autocross insurance through unaffiliated companies such as Lockton Motorsports (Locktonmotorsports ). \nPlease be sure to read through all provided information links before participating.
